Moataz has held senior management positions at APM Terminals, AD Ports, and internationaladvisory firms, leading large-scale terminal operations, greenfield developments, andoperational transformation programs. He has extensive experience in performanceimprovement, new terminal development, and delivering complex port and logistics projects.

As Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of PROBOX, Moataz specializes in advisory servicesfor container terminals, ports, and integrated logistics parks, with a focus on masterplanning,operational optimization, project start-ups, and infrastructure development. He supports clientsglobally, including port operators, governments, and private investors.

Yasser is a senior Human Resources Director with more than 25 years of experience specializingin the maritime and container terminal sectors. He brings a unique perspective to leadership,having combined an extensive background in port operations management with strategichuman capital development. Throughout his career at APM Terminals and Maersk, Yasser hasled large-scale organizational restructures and spearheaded the digitalization of HR operations.An expert in labor relations and organizational development, he has successfully managedcomplex workforce strategies across the MENA region. Yasser is dedicated to driving operationalefficiency through lean methodology while fostering high-performance cultures that prioritizetalent growth and employee engagement. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance andAccounting and a post-graduate HR Diploma from the American University in Cairo.

Throughout his career, Ahmed has focused on enhancing the customer experience andoptimizing service delivery systems. His expertise lies in transforming complex businessrequirements into clear, executable processes that ensure consistency and high performanceacross multi-functional teams.

As Head of Commercial at PROBOX, Ahmed leverages his extensive background in commercialstrategy and customer service to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for our clients. He isresponsible for refining the firm’s internal workflows and client engagement strategies, ensuringthat every project—from initial advisory to final implementation - is delivered with precision,clarity, and a focus on operational excellence.

Ahmed is a seasoned Operational Excellence leader with over 15 years of experience in globallogistics, terminal operations, and large-scale business transformation. At PROBOX, he leadsend-to-end process excellence initiatives, driving sustainable growth through Leanmethodologies, digital innovation, and organizational capability building.

Throughout his career, Ahmed has successfully delivered over $2 million in cost-saving projectsand has trained more than 500 professionals across several countries. A certified Master Trainerin Lean tools and TWI (Training Within Industry), he specializes in Hoshin Kanri strategydeployment and embedding continuous improvement cultures within complex operations.

Before joining PROBOX, Ahmed held key leadership roles at Maersk Training and APM Terminals,where he spearheaded international transformation programs and developed standardizedoperating frameworks. He is passionate about empowering people as the core driver of changeand leverages emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance operational performance anddeliver measurable business impact.

Hazem Zekry

Economic & Market Intelligence Consultant

Hazem Zekry is a Strategy & Insights Associate at PROBOX, working across advisory, businessdevelopment, and client delivery on port and logistics projects in the MEA region.

He contributes to the development of market research, feasibility inputs, and client proposals,translating complex information into structured, decision-ready outputs. His role also includescoordinating across projects to ensure alignment in deliverables, timelines, and communication.

Operating across multiple functions, he plays a key role in connecting research, proposals, andclient delivery—ensuring consistency in how PROBOX analyzes, communicates, and positions itswork. He is also involved in developing the firm’s thought leadership and content initiatives,contributing to the firm’s positioning on port operations, market dynamics, geopolitics andregional developments.

With a background in Economics, Hazem is particularly interested in the behavioral andinstitutional drivers behind market outcomes, bringing a perspective that goes beyond purelytechnical or financial analysis.

Prior to joining PROBOX, Hazem worked as a Research Assistant at the Behavioral Economicsand Decision-Making Lab at the American University in Cairo, supporting field research and datacollection for large-scale project in collaboration with public sector stakeholders andinternational partners. His work involved conducting surveys across diverse regions in Egypt,focusing on behavioral factors such as risk perception, trust, and decision-making.

He has also developed academic research on Africa, with a focus on the intersection ofeconomics, policy, and institutional dynamics, alongside a research proposal exploring therelationship between neuroscience and economic behavior.
